Our 6th Annual High School Programming Competition is coming up soon! This section will serve to familiarize you with our competition, rules, and hopefully answer all questions that you are excited to ask!
The OverviewParticipating high school will provide a team (or possibly teams) of 3 students. Your team will have one computer with strictly limited access. The judging will be moderated through Sphere Online Judge. Don't worry if you have never participated in a competition! Now is a great time to start! There will be a practice round for approximately one hour before the real problems are provided. The competition, not including the practice round, will last 3 hours. The team to complete the most problems correctly wins! We will have measurements in place to deal with tie-breakers. Don't Sweat It!Speaking of practice rounds, don't be worried if this is your first programming competition! We all must start somewhere. We will have a one hour practice round to get students acquainted with the judging application and how to properly handle input and output data. Some schools have programming teams, but don't be discouraged if your school doesn't! Get a team together. Register! It's free (besides the gas it takes to get here). We will be supporting a boat-load of programming languages (view the FAQ for a list). If you and your friends are familiar with one of these languages, come test your abilities. Check out the sample problems to gauge your abilities.
When, Where, Who?
Sweet Prizes!Don't worry, there will be sweet prizes for everyone. If you win, you'll get even sweeter prizes. The prize listings will be posted shortly. |
